Parish Health Programs
Blood Pressure Screening
Offered on the first and third Sundays of the month between 9:30am until 11:00am in the Parish Health Ministry room. Persons are offered a prayer after the blood pressure and are also referred to a physician if there is a need. They are also given a personal card to carry for their own record.
The Alzheimer’s Support Group
Lead by Jon Gotz, supports persons who are caring for a family member, loved one or other person who has Alzheimer’s disease or dementia (s) and is held at 6:30pm on the second Monday of the month in the Albright Room, lower level. This group is open to the public and is free.
The Caregiver Support Group
Helps ones who are in caregiving for a loved one, family member or other person. We meet at 6:30pm on the third Monday of the month in the Asbury Room, lower level. This is also open to the public and is free. (Please call 244-7671 for the current updates.)
Babysitter Training
Held each year at the end of the school year. The date varies because of the end of school. This is for anyone ages 11-15 years old and requires a full day for completion of the course, taught here at CCUMC by the American Red Cross. Please call the church 244-7671 in April for the dates of the current course. There is a cost for this training.
The Bloodmobile
Visits CCUMC every eight weeks. If you would like more information or would like to help by volunteering to do various jobs, please call the parish nurse at 244-7671.
B.A.B.E.
We support the Beds and Britches Program by helping with the donations for their Boutique. If you would like to be a part of this, please call the parish nurse at 244-7671.
We hold many varied programs throughout the year and always welcome persons who would like to do volunteering. Please call is you are an expert at “anything healthy”. If there is something special we need to present for the better understanding of parishioners, please call the parish nurse.
