Kent was born in a house he helped his Daddy build in Wichita,KS (he loves that joke!).He attended United Methodist related Southwestern College (Winfield, KS) and had mediocre academic success there.He got a Master of Divinity from Garrett-ETS on the campus of Northwestern University where he fell in love with his future trophy wife, Rev. Dr. Marti Gates Lundy.
Marti and Kent have two teenage sons, both of whom are Eagle Scouts like their father. Their oldest, Joshua, talks about being an FBI agent or a Fighter Pilot in the Air Force.Nathan has his heart set on being an Attorney like his maternal Grandfather.Marti is Pastor at Evangelical UMC, Huntington , IN.
Kent has been the Associate Pastor for Spiritual Formation since July 1st, 2011.He is also an Air National Guard Chaplain at the 122d Fighter Wing, Fort Wayne, IN.One of his avocations is officiating high school football.
