Home Visitation

Visitation Ministers
We have a team of trained laity visitation ministers. These ministers also share Holy Communion with our shut-ins, under the directions of our pastors.

Hospitals and Nursing Homes
When you or a loved one is admitted to the hospital or to a nursing home, it is important to tell admissions you affiliate with the Columbia City United Methodist Church. This, plus a personal contact with the church office will allow the pastoral staff to assist you in this difficult time.

Funerals
Bereavement is most always a crisis time. Your pastoral staff stands ready to assist you in any way they can. The pastors may be reached at the church office or at their homes.

Counseling
Pastors will do personal one-on-one counseling ministry. With sensitivity to persons in pain, together with skills in listening and helping, we stand ready to be of any assistance we can. Sometimes, we may refer a person to other sources of professional help.

Marriage
Columbia City United Methodist Church has a priority to promote strong marriages. We believe that preparing for marriage is more important than the wedding ceremony itself.  Click here for details.
