About Us
Columbia City UMC is a large church averaging around 450 people every Sunday morning. Because we have such a large, diverse congregation, we offer two different services: a Traditional Service at 8:30am and a Contemporary Service at 11:00am.
Another benefit to having a large congregation are all the opportunities we have for people to get connected. Whether it's through doing home repair, drinking coffee, playing music, or any other number of things, we've got something for everyone at every level of faith. Maybe it's your first time in a church, or maybe you've been going to church forever- either way, you'll fit right in here.
Our mission is to make disciples of Jesus Christ, while our vision is to minister to over half of Whitley County. These two statements are at the root of everything we do as a church, and we constantly look to them as we move forward with our ministries.
As a United Methodist Church, we believe that Jesus Christ is real in our lives and that he has the power to transform our living. We know that God loves us as we are, and we believe we are all called through Jesus to love God and each other for the betterment of the world.
